Who builds BuildGrade?
BuildGrade is made by Meadowlark Labs, a small product studio focused on practical tools for homeowners, builders, and contractors. We build every calculator in-house using real contractor pricing data and update cost models regularly so estimates stay current.
What can we help with?
- General questions — how the calculators work, where our cost data comes from, or how to interpret your estimate.
- Bug reports — something not calculating correctly, a page that won't load, or a display issue on your device.
- Feature requests — a calculator you'd like us to add, an option we're missing, or a workflow improvement.

What to expect
We read every message personally. Most inquiries get a reply within one business day — often faster for bug reports or quick questions. If your request requires research (for example, checking pricing in a specific region), it may take a bit longer. We'll always acknowledge receipt so you know we're on it.
Before you write
A few things that help us respond faster: include the calculator page you were on, the dimensions or options you selected, and a screenshot if something looks off. For feature requests, a short description of what you're trying to accomplish is more helpful than a specific UI suggestion — it lets us find the best solution.
